Montano & Cardall Host CE for Hygienists with Special Guest Speaker

Montano & Cardall Orthodontic Specialists recently hosted a lecture for the Kern County Dental Hygiene Society. The lecture title was “Improving Facial Esthetics and Health through Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery”. This course was unique because of the special guest speaker, Dr. Rob Relle from the Los Angeles Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, who presented the majority of the lecture. Dr. Relle is a leader in modern orthognathic surgery and reconstruction. His lecture focused primarily on emerging technologies that have made jaw surgery more predictable and less traumatic than ever before. Dr. Montano briefly spoke about indications for combined orthodontic and orthognathic surgical treatment, and how modern advancements have allowed for cases to be treated with either braces or Invisalign clear aligners, depending on the patient’s preference.
