Types of Braces

For Any Lifestyle

Metal Braces

Types of braces - metalMetal braces like these are some of the most common types of braces and are more comfortable and faster-acting today than ever before. Dr. Montano uses the lowest profile braces available, resulting in maximum comfort for the lips and cheeks. Made of high-grade stainless steel, these braces were carefully selected by Dr. Montano because they allow them to straighten your teeth and bite with exceptional precision and accuracy. With metal braces, you have the option of adding elastic ligatures (“donuts”) to hold the archwires in place in single or multi-colors to suit your fashion sense.

Ceramic Braces

Types of braces - clearUnlike traditional ceramic brackets that are opaque and colored to mimic a particular tooth shade, Dr. Montano uses Inspire Ice braces. Unlike other types of braces, these are crystal clear and virtually disappear regardless of the shade of your teeth. Inspire ICE® is one of the few completely transparent braces on the market. It is also the lowest profile ceramic brace on the market and is manufactured with an innovative boron tumbling process that provides a smooth surface to greatly enhance patient comfort.

Invisible Orthodontic Appliances - Invisalign®

Types of braces - InvisalignInvisalign® – No one can tell you are wearing Invisalign® because it’s invisible. Invisalign® is a series of clear, removable “aligners” that straighten your teeth and bite under the careful planning of Dr. Montano. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are easy because there are no wires connecting the teeth. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

Dr. Montano is among the Top 1% of Invisalign® providers in North America and has more experience than any office in Bakersfield, allowing him to treat many cases with Invisalign that are beyond the capability of most practitioners.
